Anub'Arak [herioc]

Ladies and gentleman, we got him!

It has taken alot of time and preparation to finally collect our kill in Trial of the Grand Crusade, but we managed eventually.

Offspring was on the verge of dying, when alot of core members left for Deeprun Tram Poker Club. After the disbanding of Poker alot of people did decide to come back and we started raiding again, first 3 days, after the release of Icecrown Citadel we got back to 4 days of raiding. As has been written earlier in the kill post about the Val'Kyr Twins Offspring properly rebuild, yet never had the time or attendance to go collect our Anub kill.

After rethinking strategys over and over, gathering new gear in all available raidinstances we managed to get a group going that knew how to kite spikes, interrupt Shadow Strikes and even heal the Penetrating Cold debuffs properly so we would have 25 people alive at the end of the fight (we didn't manage 25 on the kill, just 24). We had 45 tries left when he fell, so a Tribute to Mad Skill was the answer we got from the server. Finally. Took us long enough?

Loot:
[Blade of the Unbroken Covenant] to Aleycia
[Footpads of the Icy Floe] to Aleycia
[Leggings of the Deepening Void] to ?
[Band of Deplorable Violence] to Emy
[Regalia of the Grand Protector] to Sheela (x2)
[Regalia of the Grand Vanquisher] to Pilliken

Blood Prince Council

By: Trewyn @ January 27, 2010, 2:46 pm

It was the week of hope, our main raidleader on holiday and we had a new boss! We tried to kill the council with tactics.. this wasn't needed! Before we had the tactics straight we killed them already in a few tries. Only the Blood Queen left!

Professor Putricide made his last potion!

For comfort, here's the 25 man pic! Good job all!

Even though it's just 10 men, I considered this was worth posting. It's quite a fun fight and really something to look forward to on 25. Let's hope not everyone fails at kiting slimeblobs, I know they look attractive but please walk away!

To conclude; Good job people. Now let's make this a 25 man screenshot!

After struggling to get our forces together to conquer some evil brought to us by Arthas, we are finally back on track. With the miraculous return of our guilds most loved gnome, Guri and his human partner Lathlanien we are back to conquer the depths of the Argent Tournament grounds.

We have had a lot of absent or leaving members lately and this resulted in a slaughter of Offsprings reputation as a hardcore raiding guild. We finally got our raiding group sorted so we are ready to vanquish some evil, but are not yet raiding 5 days a week. We are progressing steadily with 3 days of boss fighting a week, yet we hope to add another raiding day when Icecrown Citadel will release, so we have more time to conquer evil and be among the better guilds on the server.

Offsprings raiding forces joined together after the killing spree we left behind on the Argent Tournament grounds to give the herioc versions a try. The Northrend Beasts have proven to be a very fun fight on herioc difficulty but eventually where no match for our forces. Lead by Lathlanien and Guri we stormed into combat, leaving just us standing and a group of death beasts beneath our feet. Next up was the dreaded warlock gnome that forces us into battle against some Kil'Jaeden look-a-like, but even he proved to be no match for us. The opposing champions gave us a small feeling of "RETARDED FIGHT?" inside, but after we got over that we showed who the real champions actually were.

We finally came face to face with what would be the hardest encounter to overcome this far, but our re-build evilbosskilling group showed those 2 val'kyr who's boss by sending them both into their graves. Seperated.

Through fire and flames!

We did it, check the topic for our little adventure with our mechanic friend.

After having to scrape up all our members to have a few decent raids where we could encounter some hardmodes, it seems we finally have seen the light. We recruited new players from all over Europe, comming from x-realms or Trollbane. These new recruits are very welcome and are doing a fine job in keeping the Offspring spirit high.

This week have proven to be a very, very good progressing week. After we killed the freak of nature and her little helpers (it came in an all-in-1 package) we sat down for our friend, the Despicable Little Cockmunching Retarded Piece of Mechagnome. This smart and enlightened gnome gave us a few treats at the start of Ulduar, by having his toy-car Flame Leviathan in our way and his little transformer look-a-like. Smart as a gnome is, he funded all this of our repairs costs as Gnimo seemed to be his helper.

Evil Gnimo gave all the money he gained from our repair costs to Mimiron so he could make a nice little toy and this big shiny red button. This button has proven to be a fun factor from the moment we saw it, there's always a little friendly gnome that likes to push the big red button even though it says "DO NOT PUSH THIS BUTTON!!!". Finally up for a decent hardmode try we spoke over the strategies (read; we ran in and everyone was expected to know the fight from 10 experience or random internet views) and came to the conclusion this had to be the night.

We had a few nasty tries at start, where people would die in phase 1, making it really hard to progress further into the fight and get a shot going at the last 3 phases. with a little dedication and some combat resses here and there (mostly dedicated to our blue shaman friend) we managed a few clean starts and managed to get to phase 4 without losing any friends. Phase 4 proved to be a pain in the ass, where we had a 1 shotted tank, randoms deaths, gnomes trying to fry their new marshmellows, you name it. God, those fires proved to be a hard one. All though there's a lot going on, we managed to get a clean start of phase 4, but people slowly started dying. We lost a gnome here, a nightelf there, a Berzerk failing to run from certain AoE effect, another shaman ankhing right before an AoE attack and therefor dying twice in 10 seconds etc, we got the 3 seperate parts to 2%, 0% and 0%. Luckily for Mimiron he has an enrage timer which postponed his disposal by our fine engineers. The worst hectic wipe ever.

We got all our courage back together and give it a few shots again, where we failed at moving proper in phase 2 to avoid loads of damage, had a hard time dodging fires and the usual loss of focus after a really good attempt. With some e-raging on Vent by some and a few neat tips we got back together for a perfect go. A clean start of phase 4 again. People slowly dying to random stuff, fires all over the place, fireextinquishers knocking people back and silencing them, a boss at 1%, 1%, 0%. People enraging over Vent (mostly the dead ones, because the living ones had no time to focus on anything BUT the gnome-toy) and there it popped. Mimirons little toy defeated with fires all over the place.

Awesome job all. Server first spam incomming!
